Welcome! Can a fifty-something wife/mom/daughter who spent most of her life in sunny California and loves long walks on the beach survive in New England? Almost three years ago we moved from California to Connecticut because my husband was offered a great job. I gave up my high school teaching job, packed up our home of twenty-one years, and moved east. One daughter, her son, her Ex, my parents, four dogs and two cats accompanied us on our adventure. Have I adjusted? I love the seasons, but this is a different world . . .

I enjoyed this very much. I am new to the world of Grandma (my grandson is only 3 months old). Thanks for sharing.
Wow, quite the transition!! Hope all is going well for everyone. It looks like it’s been over a year now. I’ll have to read through a few more posts to catch up :-). I’ve done just the opposite. Born and raised in Connecticut now moved to Montana!! (my daughter and grandchildren are here). Four generations!! Sounds like fun..
I do need to update this page. It’s been three years! If anyone had said four years ago that we were going to move to another state, I would have guessed Montana. Such a beautiful place. Now we’re thinking about Maine.
My son lives in Maine and I lived there for quite sometime. The Old Orchard Beach area. I miss the ocean 😀 My Mom’s favorite place, Kennebunk Me!! Montana is beautiful. I’m in the Whitefish area. Mountains are amazing and Glacier Nat. Park is awesome! Good luck with your decisions. Have a wonderful evening😊
Sounds like you get to be in some of the most beautiful places in the U.S. So envious!
I hope you don’t mind but I nominated you for the Premio Dardos Award, it’s sitting on my blog just waiting for you 🙂
